Camp La Jolla
Camp La Jolla was a project by UCSD Graduate Student Owen Mundy exploring UC San Diego's military heritage.
I created a sculpture of the Torrey Pines Golf Course by sewing together old military uniforms. The
golf course (a symbol of luxury and leisure) is built on former military land (a place of labor), so
the sculpture contrasts the two. I also helped with project research and installation at the California
Center for the Arts, Escondido Museum.
Project done with: old military uniforms, thread, sewing machine
